Bridgton Health and Residential Care Center has complete support services and a caring, professional staff dedicated to maintaining the dignity and respect to which every individual is entitled. We believe that this is the resident's home, regardless of the length of time they are here. We, the staff, consider ourselves to be visitors in their home.
Our nursing facility consists of 43 beds that may be used for either Skilled Nursing Services, or for Long-Term Nursing level of care. Skilled level of care is usually a short-term placement (less than 100 days) for individuals requiring support services to improve strength and/or recuperate from a recent surgery, injury or illness. We have a team of physical, occupational and speech therapists who are available to help each resident maximize his or her personal potential. Thirteen of these beds are in private rooms with Cable TV, telephone, internet access and a private bathroom
Long-Term level of nursing care is for those residents who are unable to remain in their home due to the inability to care for themselves because of a decline in their physical or cognitive status. They need nursing supervision on a daily basis.
