We offer the following types of admissions:
Residents are admitted from home, hospital, or other living arrangement.
Admissions from home or other living arrangement would require a "Goold Assessment". A Goold assessment determines where the person is medically, that is independent, needing assistance with activities of daily living either at home or in an assisted living facility, or needing nursing facility level of care. This assessment is performed by an independent agency contracted by the Department of Human Services.
SKILLED NURSING ADMISSIONS
Residents that are admitted directly from the hospital generally need skilled rehabilitation (physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy). Our skilled - rehab unit has private rooms with a private bathroom, cable TV, cordless phone, and free wireless service.
NURSING FACILITY ADMISSIONS
Nursing Home admissions are admitted from the hospital or from the home, and have been approved via a Goold assessment.
ASSISTED LIVING ADMISSIONS (Residential Care)
Our assisted living unit consists of 8 semiprivate rooms, for alzheimers/dementia residents and it is a secure, locked unit. This gives us the extra protection to care for your loved ones who like to wander.
Our facility is licensed by the Department of Human Services. We are certified by Medicare and accept payments from private funds, third party insurance, Medicare, and Mainecare (Medicaid). We do require pre-approval from Mainecare before we will accept someone for admission. Our Social Services Department is very knowledgeable in assisting in the Mainecare application process.
We provide individualized health care in a warm, friendly, homelike setting and we strive to maintain the dignity and pride of each of our residents. It is our goal to offer the kind of care you would expect your loved one to receive.
We also offer Respite Services in both levels of care which are generally short term stays that allow caretakers to vacation or just take a break from the normal routine of caring for the loved one at home.
For more information, please contact our Admission's staff at 207-647-8821. They are anxious to answer any questions you may have or schedule a tour of the facility prior to admission to acquaint resident and family with our staff and facility.
